The Paradise Riflebirds have unveiled a bold sonic evolution with Singing Tree Forest, the first track from their forthcoming album.

Hailing from Australia and Scotland, the duo, comprising of Simon J and John Tulloch, step into heavier, more textured terrain. The track’s hypnotic pace unfolds like a dark, cinematic march, eschewing traditional power chords in favor of layered guitars, a brooding bass line, and haunting French accordion flourishes.

This is a dense and ambitious composition, mixed in Spain by Bruno Simonetta and mastered by Alan Douches. International collaborators add rich nuance, including Pereg ar Bagol on accordion, Chris Dreher on bass, and Bechir Jelassi on drums.

Singing Tree Forest, with its shifting instrumental lines, giving the piece a sense of movement and unease, marks an adventurous new era for The Paradise Riflebirds. Check out the single below.
