Seafarers' latest single 'Everything I’d Do (to Get a Hold on You)'
Chamber pop group Seafarers pay homage to the nostalgic Nashville country ballads of the 1980's with their latest single "Everything I’d Do (to Get a Hold on You)". The track sets the tone for their third album, set to be released in October.
Seafarers, hailing from London, are led by songwriter Matthew Herd, and comprising Lauren Kinsella on vocals, Arun Thavasothy on guitars and vocals, Tom Taylor on piano, bassist Tom McCredie and drummer Dave Hamblett. Those musicians with diverse backgrounds in indie rock, chamber pop, and jazz, formed in 2018, when they recorded their debut album "Orlando".
Following the success of their second album, "II", the band delves into the melancholic complexities of adolescence. "Everything I’d Do (to Get a Hold on You)" narrates a poignant tale of unrequited love within a troubled college romance, exploring the desperation and futility of grasping onto an elusive partner.
Through heartfelt lyrics and emotive melodies, Seafarers capture the essence of heartbreak and longing in a beautifully intimate way. Check out "Everything I’d Do (to Get a Hold on You)" below.
