The Andrews Massey Duo have recently released their third album, from the roots… new branches, which offers a delicate re-imagining of British folk tunes, transforming them into intimate instrumental stories.
Flautist Emily Andrews and guitarist David Massey blend classical finesse with folk heritage, using flutes, whistles, guitars, and banjo to breathe new life into traditional melodies. Raised in music-filled homes, they rely on memory and improvisation over sheet music, giving the album an organic, evolving feel.

The result is a tapestry of familiar and hidden gems that blur the lines between classical structure and folk freedom. Accompanying the music is a beautifully designed booklet featuring Cassy Oliphant’s illustrations and I Wei Huang’s digital-friendly format.
Catch The Andrews Massey Duo live this July in London and Gloucestershire for a deeply personal folk journey. Check out from the roots… new branches below.
