Lauren McCallum's latest single 'Paradise'

Lauren McCallum has recently released hew single "Paradise", marking her shift towards a more rock-oriented sound, a genre she's cherished but hadn’t fully embraced until now.

Produced by Roo Pigott and Rich Huxley at Songworks, "Paradise" was born from a desire to infuse angst and energy into her discography. Lauren expresses excitement about this new direction, stating that it differs from her usual style but reflects her passion for rock music.

This deeply relatable track captures the essence of awakening from a manufactured existence, resonating with listeners as it navigates the journey of realization. The song was inspired by an episode of Criminal Minds, which delves into escaping a deceptive paradise.

Interestingly, Lauren faced challenges writing the verses, but a playful approach led her to quickly produce lyrics that perfectly matched her vision. She did that by finding inspiration in the song's title and swiftly composing the verses after experimenting with words. Check out “Paradise” below.
