Josie Lockhart's latest single The Heat
Josie Lockhart, the musical project of Aaron Miller, has just unveiled his new single The Heat, which is a part of his upcoming album, What Golden Hues, out on February 28th.
It is a cowboy-inspired anthem rooted in the southwestern landscapes that Aaron encountered during his time in Durango, Colorado, where he wrote the songs for the album. Following his 2021 debut Santa Rosa, which was mixed by Chris Coady, Aaron shifted to a more polished studio approach for this album.

He collaborated with producer Modern Medicine, bringing in skilled musicians from Austin and Nashville, and recorded at Club Sound Machine in Lockhart, Texas. The resulting sound blends Americana and heartland rock with modern elements like steel guitar and saxophone.
Josie Lockhart’s heartfelt lyrics and soaring melodies promise to make What Golden Hues a powerful, intimate listening experience. Check out The Heat below.
