Janet Devlin's latest album, Emotional Rodeo
Northern Irish artist Janet Devlin has recently released her bold country-rock album titled Emotional Rodeo, through OkGood Records.
Recorded at Nashville's Blackbird Studio, the album showcases her heartfelt approach to the genre, combining clever lyrics with themes of self-empowerment and mental health. Co-written with Ben Earle and Kaity Rae, the title track has already made waves, reaching impressive chart positions, including No. 15 on the UK iTunes Charts.
The album's second single, Country Singer, reflects Devlin's journey toward self-acceptance, inspired by a tumultuous romance with a fading country star. With its classic country influences and collaboration with producer Vance Powell, the track highlights the absurdities of dating while embracing authenticity.
Emotional Rodeo features a mix of energetic songs and poignant ballads, revealing Devlin's growth and commitment to her roots, making it her most relatable work yet. Check out the album below.
