G.L.A.D. unveil new EP titled U-TURN
G.L.A.D., short for Gospel Lane Americana Division, have released their latest EP, U-TURN, showcasing their unique acoustic storytelling style.
The duo consists of B.T. West, an experienced singer-songwriter with roots both in the UK and the US, and Ina East, who infuses her Eastern European folk and classical background into their music. The EP features contributions from talented musicians Andreas Waeldele on mandolin and violin, and young jazz drummer Mathis Wunderlich.
U-TURN explores profound themes of shame, healing, and reflection through tracks like Red Stain, Turn, and Winter of 1946. The recordings, made at Galley Tower Studios in Germany, aim for an authentic, live feel, using minimal production to capture the essence of their sound.
G.L.A.D. emphasizes the importance of leaving space for collaboration, allowing each voice and instrument to shine without overwhelming the others. Check out the EP below.
