E.W. Harris, a Brooklyn-based folktronica artist, has unveiled his latest project, Machine Living in Relief, an acoustic EP exploring robots and AI.

Born from a spontaneous challenge in a bar, the EP is a part of his “romantic dystopia” series set in Rocket City—an imagined world of post-apocalyptic New York City, 250 years in the future. Each track delves into a unique character’s story, expanding this quirky, cosmic universe.

Harris uses acoustic folk to express existential themes, blending melancholic lyrics with rich textures. The EP marks a return to his roots while teasing future directions. With his continuous evolution as an artist, E.W. Harris remains unpredictable, keeping fans engaged with fresh, intriguing sounds.

Be sure to catch him live as he is currently touring internationally in support of the EP. Check out Machine Living in Relief now.
