Delta of Venus unveil new two-track single titled Disengaged b/w Slipping
Delta of Venus have unveiled their latest singles, Disengaged and Slipping, released as a two-track single titled Disengaged b/w Slipping, marking a significant return for the band which formed in 1993 and disbanded in 1997.
With a unique premise of playing instruments they were unfamiliar with, the trio comprised of Mat Tarbox, Ellery Twining, and Shawn Fake, crafted a distinct sound that set them apart in the indie scene. After a hiatus Ellery's solo projects sparked a reunion, leading to the recording of this new material.
Despite original member Dawn Estabrooks stepping back, the band welcomed new vocalist Issy, who quickly recorded the vocals in just three hours. The new tracks showcase an innovative approach to shoegaze and indie pop, moving away from conventional structures to create fluid musical movements.
This fresh direction highlights the evolution of Delta of Venus' sound while maintaining the essence that fans have come to love. Check out Disengaged b/w Slipping below.
