Beatnik's latest single 'Feel Alive'

Beatnik have just released their new single "Feel Alive", a fusion of introspective musings intertwined with infectious funk rhythms.

Led by multi-talented musician Peter LaBarge on vocals, guitar, bass, synths, keyboards, and percussion, Beatnik emerged as a side project from Peter's previous band. He drew inspiration from Beat poetry, with a name derived from Peter's literary immersion during a tour, and resonating with Jack Kerouac's "On The Road".

Recorded at home with contributions from friends Benton Wood on guitar and Zane Peterson on saxophone, "Feel Alive" showcases Peter's introspective songwriting and musical prowess. The song encapsulates themes of self-discovery and embracing the present moment, reflecting Peter's personal journey of overcoming struggles and finding meaning in life.

This vibrant track invites listeners to groove along while contemplating life's deepest questions. With elements of disco vibes, the single stands as a preview for the upcoming EP titled "Life Sucks, Then You Dance". Check out "Feel Alive" below.
